Overview
"Bingo Blitz', developed by "Playtika", is one of the world’s most popular social bingo games.
It combines the classic bingo experience with a vibrant world full of adventures, collectible rewards, and social interactions. Players travel across destinations, unlock themed locations, and connect with friends around the globe.
In this project, I redesigned the "Daily Bonus" feature and transformed it into "Daily Journey" an interactive,
map based experience that builds a stronger emotional connection with the game and encourages daily engagement and player retention.

Main Goal
The main goal of this redesign was to turn a passive reward mechanic into an active, motivating experience. By creating a sense of progress and discovery, I wanted players to feel rewarded not only by the prize itself, but also by the journey toward it.
This approach aimed to increase daily return rates, enhance emotional engagement, and create a feature that feels like a natural extension of the "Bingo Blitz" universe.

The Problem, Challenge
The original "Daily Bonus" feature provided simple rewards but lacked excitement, continuity, and connection to the game’s visual world. Players collected prizes without feeling motivated to return the next day.
The challenge was to transform this flat, routine feature into a meaningful and visually engaging experience that aligns with Playtika’s focus on long term player engagement and storytelling.
The Solution
Inspired by Bingo Blitz’s core themes of travel and exploration, I redesigned the feature as a Daily Journey a playful map based adventure where each day represents a new island and a new reward.
The design introduces a sense of progress, curiosity, and anticipation through visual storytelling, interactive motion, and gamified UI.

To preserve familiarity and player excitement, I integrated the well known Spin Wheel mechanic, redesigned with updated visuals that align with Bingo Blitz’s colorful art direction and Playtika’s high quality standards.
Existing Design vs. New Design
Existing Design - "Daily Fortune"
The original "Daily Fortune" feature presented daily rewards in a flat, linear layout.
While it worked functionally, it felt disconnected from the game’s adventurous world and lacked a sense of progress or excitement giving players little reason to return each day.

The redesigned Daily Journey turns daily rewards into a map-based adventure.
Each day represents a new island and reward, adding depth, anticipation, and motivation while keeping the familiar Spin Wheel excitement players already love.

The Result
The new design turns a simple reward system into a daily adventure that strengthens motivation, curiosity, and user retention.
Through clear visual progression and gamified interaction, Daily Journey enhances the emotional connection between players and the game — making daily engagement feel rewarding, fun, and meaningful.

At this stage, the player sees their progress across the map and the rewards waiting to be unlocked.
This screen encourages anticipation and motivates players to return daily to continue their adventure. Each island represents a new day and a new reward, reinforcing the sense of journey and progression.

Integrating Existing Mechanics
After the player clicks on an island within the “Daily Journey”,
the reward experience begins. To preserve the excitement and connection to the original game, I integrated the familiar
“Spin Wheel” flow from the existing gameplay. This immediate transition keeps the energy high and makes the new feature feel natural and consistent within the overall game world. The result is a seamless blend between the new daily journey and the core reward mechanics players already love.
Progressing Through the Days
The player’s “Daily Journey” map displays several unlocked islands, each representing a completed day and a collected reward. This visual progression reinforces a sense of achievement, continuity, and motivation to keep advancing through the journey.
Countdown Timer
When the current day’s reward is completed, the button shows a countdown timer until the next island becomes available. This mechanic maintains anticipation and engagement, encouraging players to return daily to continue their adventure.
